Everything that is "el clasico" was told once again in Andalusia - from the atomic football, the great moves, the goals, but also the fact that somehow it had to happen that the referees were in the spotlight in the 96th minute.
After 120 spectacular minutes, Barcelona once again showed who the king of the King's Cup is - they defeated Real Madrid 3-2 in the grand final at Seville's "Cartucha".
Hansi Flick's penalty expedition has won "El Clasico" 5:2 and 4:0 this season, and now it has shown that it knows how to win even when its biggest rival plays a good match.
And the second of four possible trophies has been won, the most important ones for Barça remain - La Liga, where they have four points more than Real, and the Champions League, where they face a semi-final with Inter.
From the first minute in the south of Spain, Barça started with a recognizable game this season, just waiting for the moment when the "goal-scoring machine" would shake the rival's net...
That moment arrived in the 28th minute, and the goal was a masterpiece - Lamin Jamal cleverly found Pedri on the edge of the penalty area, and the Catalan midfielder started the show in Andalusia with a bombshell.
Hansi Flick's team could have scored a few more goals in the first half, Real looked lost, but the score remained 1:0, and then Carlo Ancelotti sent Kylian Mbappe, Luka Modric and Arda Guler into the game and completely changed the rhythm of the game.
Real started to play and pressure Barcelona, while the Catalan club threatened with counterattacks, it was bursting in all directions, and Real started to score goals.
First, Mbappe equalized at 1:1 - from a free kick, with a lot of help from Barca's desperate defensive wall.
It was the 70th minute, and already in the 77th minute it was 2:1 for the Madrid club - Guler scored from a corner kick, and Aurelien Choumaney scored with a header..
And when Barcelona is in trouble this season, it's mostly Ferran Torres - Hansi Flick's golden wildcard took advantage of Jamal's great pass and weak reactions from Antonio Ridiger and Thibaut Courtois and brought everything back to the beginning - 2:2.
This "el clasico" had an unsportsmanlike opening and a lot of pressure from Real Madrid's leading men on referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoecea, there were tears from the Basque referee before the match, and then in the 96th minute he awarded a penalty for Barcelona after Raul Asensio's challenge on Rafinha.
However, after a call from the VAR room, Bengoećea changed his decision and the final went into extra time.
"In my opinion it was a penalty, I don't see a clear and obvious mistake by the referee," former referee Alfonso Perez Burul told Marca.
For a long time it seemed that the match would not be decided in the extra 30 minutes, and then Žilo Kunde's "arrow" after a mistake by Luka Modrić and Braim Dias decided the final.
After the Spanish Super Cup, Barça "embrace" their second trophy this season, and continue to dream of a memorable poker trophy.
