Antonio Rudiger faces a four- to 12-match suspension for throwing an ice cube at the referees in El Clasico in the Copa del Rey final, which Barça won 3-2 in extra time.
Rudiger played with an injury for a long time, but still lasted until the 111th minute, and threw the ice he was using for his injury at the referees during Real Madrid's last attack when Mbappe was fouled in attack.
The Real Madrid bench exploded with anger at referee Ricardo Bengoechea's decision, Lucas Vazquez and Vinicius ran onto the pitch and Rudiger tore open an ice pack and threw a piece at the referee.
The German was furious after the red card because of the reaction... ugly images of his aggression went around the world.
"There is certainly no excuse for my behavior last night. I am truly sorry. We played very well from the second half. After the 111th minute I could no longer help my team and I made a mistake before the final whistle. I apologize once again to the referee and everyone I disappointed last night," the Real defender wrote on his Instagram.
Vazquez was also sent off "for protesting against our decisions and walked the field a few meters, gesturing his disagreement, and at the end of the game, Bellingham was sent off for an aggressive approach towards us and his teammates had to restrain him," the referee's report from the match states.
