Although Manchester City's season will be unsuccessful, the "citizens" have a chance to end it with a trophy. Pep Guardiola's team defeated Nottingham Forest (2:0) in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley today and advanced to the final of this competition for the 14th time in history.
City will play in the FA Cup final for the third year in a row. The "citizens" will face Crystal Palace in the final on May 17th at Wembley.
Nottingham Forest has been to three FA Cup finals, and they still have until the end of the season to fight for a place in the Champions League.
City took the lead in the second minute today - Lewis received an assist from Kovačić, scored a goal from around 16 meters and became the second youngest City player to score at Wembley.
At the beginning of the second half, Hudson-Odoi missed a chance to score and equalize, on the other side Nunes, Kovačić and Luis were inaccurate, and then in the 51st minute, Guardiola headed home from a corner kick and set the final score.
Nottingham Forest players were not lucky today. The "Foresters" hit the target three times, had chances, and Ortega was good on several occasions in the City goal.
