The second leg of the Montenegrin Cup semi-final will be played today on a renovated, hybrid pitch in Bar, as well as in Tuzi.
A spectacle is in store at "Topolica" - Mornar is defending its 3:0 victory from the first match against second-league side Iskra (19 p.m.), and will celebrate a certain place in the final on a newly created, "washed" surface, a mixture of natural and artificial grass, the first field of its kind in Montenegro.
At least it is a candidate to host the Cup final match, due to the reconstruction of the field at the stadium under Gorica - could the rematch with Iskra be a "dress rehearsal" for the boys? Zoran Đurašković?
- We do not underestimate our opponent and we do not think that we have finished the job. The stakes are huge, regardless of the result of the first match. Iskra is a quality and young team, which they proved by eliminating two first-league teams. I expect a tough match in the second leg as well. We are the favorites, but we have to stay as focused as possible. We want to celebrate entering our first Montenegrin Cup final, in front of the audience on the new field - said Đurašković.
The Iskra team from Danilovgrad, which is simultaneously fighting for survival in the Second League, is faced with fatigue and personnel challenges.
- Unfortunately, the cup semi-final came at an inconvenient time for us. We don't have a large roster, so playing games every two or three days is very tiring for this young team. In the first game, we were burned out with desire, Mornar took advantage of that and was better by one, maybe two goals, but three is too many. It's hard to make up for 3:0, but we want to perform as well as possible in the second leg - said the Iskra coach Milan Radulović.
In the second semi-final, Dečić starts the match on their home field in Tuzi with a 1:0 advantage over Petrovac from the first leg. Selected Nenad Brnović They are closer to the final than their rivals, who have not conceded a goal in five games this season (four in the championship), but everything is far from being resolved.
- We're starting as if it's 0:0, Petrovac's games and position in the league table show how good a team they are. This is the most important game of the season for us, but I hope that at the end of March we will play an even more important one - the Cup final - says one of the most experienced players from Dečići, Drasko Bozovic.
Petrovac arrives in Tuzi with the desire to make up for the loss from the first game and qualify for the final.
- As we announced earlier, when we have already reached the semi-finals and when we have a great season, our goal is also to win the Cup. The opponent is good and is leading, but we will play patiently. One goal behind can be made up, and an early goal would open the match - said the Petrovac coach Zdravko Dragićević.
The match in Tuzi starts two hours earlier than the one in Bar at 17 pm.
