"Blue and white" season at all levels, in all age categories!
The first team of Buducnost celebrated the championship title last week, but it is not the only one - the champions of Montenegro in recent days have become the youth, cadets and pioneers of the Podgorica club.
An incredible season in terms of results - just in time for the club's centennial.
"The Pioneers led by Željko Ćetković won 70 out of a possible 72 points. Minja Ljumović's cadets have 16 points more than the second-place team and are the champions, although there are still five rounds left. Marko Janjević's youth team also has 16 points more than the nearest team and has won the title," says Srđan Radonjić, head of the Podgorica club's youth school.
And it wasn't just seniors, youth, cadets and pioneers who were dominant...
"The younger cadets led by Balša Božović dominated at the regional level. Then the 2011 generation led by Balša Bogićević with Milan Đurišić won a strong international tournament in Međugorje. This is an age group that does not yet compete, they belong to the grassroots system. It is similar with the boys born in 2012 and 2013 led by Marko and Petar Vukčević," Radonjić points out.
And all this after an autumn in which the youth of Buducnost played great games in the Youth Champions League - they eliminated Dinamo Tbilisi, were eliminated by Trabzonspor, who later reached the semi-finals where they ran into Barcelona...
There is no need to worry about the future of the Future, at least as things stand now.
"We have the best infrastructure, working conditions, and the dedication of the people from the club, led by executive director Novak Novaković. What is particularly important is that we have strong individual work. We have one of the best coaches in the region in charge of physical preparation, Milivoje Grbović, who works with players of all ages as needed. We know how important physical preparation is in today's football," says Radonjić.
However, it's not just about the conditions and infrastructure. It's not all about the coaches either...
"We have a working system. As a result, there are over 50 national team players in the younger categories, recently there were 12 Buducnost players in the pioneer selection. We will continue to work like this, our task is to 'make' football players, to bring them to the first team, so that the club can benefit greatly, both in terms of results and, as has been shown recently, by placing players on the foreign market and making millions in transfers," concluded Srđan Radonjić.
