Liverpool secured their 20th English championship title last weekend, and will receive their first honours in the capital, London, on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
"We will welcome Liverpool with a guard of honour, of course we will. It is a tradition, and they deserve it. Although, I don't think it will influence their team to be more relaxed and not play at their maximum. My players will definitely think about the fact that they want to experience such an honour and one day deserve the same respect," said Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca.
Chelsea is in fifth place, the last one leading to the Champions League, and in the last four rounds they will have to fight to keep it, as they are one position behind Nottingham Forest with the same number of points and a weaker goal difference.
"The difference in quality between Liverpool and Chelsea exists and is clearly visible. But I feel that my team is moving in the right direction and that the difference will become smaller and smaller," concluded Mareska.
