Eintracht took the lead through Rasmus Christensen in the first minute, but the guests from Hamburg turned things around with goals from Manolis Saliakis in the fourth and Morgan Gilavogi in the 16th minute.
Michy Batshuayi brought the Frankfurt team a point in the 71st minute.
St. Pauli secured survival with that draw, so there will be two Hamburg clubs in the Bundesliga next season - HSV celebrated promotion from Zweibrücken last night, after 2018.
