The Montenegrin cadet football team ended its appearance at the UEFA development tournament in Podgorica with a victory.
The team led from the bench by Petar Kasom played another good match and deservedly won against North Macedonia - 2:1.
Luka Vušurović was the double scorer - he scored in the 11th and 20th minutes, and the only goal for the guests was scored by Soner Rakipa in the 73rd.
"When we finish such a strong tournament with a win, we have to be extremely satisfied. After two tough games, we had to refresh the team and rotate with seven or eight players who had less playing time," said Kasom, assistant to Radovan Kavaja's coaching staff.
"The play of the boys who started the match is certainly pleasing, they approached the game seriously and responsibly. As time went on, we got better and more confident, with two nice goals we were rewarded for all the good that was done on the field. In some situations in the finals we had to be calmer and resolve the issue of the winner much earlier, but certainly congratulations to the players on their great performances during this development tournament," Kasom emphasized.
Our team defeated Slovakia (3:0) at the start of the tournament, and also lost in a duel with Serbia (3:1).
