Cetinje, May 11, 2025 – Vision. Work. Heart. Three words that are woven into the DNA of the Stari Aerodrom Football Club. Three words that led the 2013 generation to a historic result: winning first place at the prestigious Europa Trophy Cetinje 2025 tournament.
In competition with respectable teams from the region and beyond, the boys of FK Stari Aerodrom demonstrated what makes football more than just a game – discipline, mental strength, tactical superiority and unwavering team spirit.
The championship title is not just a result – it is confirmation of the system that the club has been building for years.
This victory is the second in a series of international successes – after a great performance in Croatia, Cetinje has become a new milestone. Italy is the next destination. As a reward for winning the tournament, the team has won a fully funded participation in a major international competition in Italy, where they will wear the colors of Montenegro and the club among the strongest teams on the continent.
"This is not just the success of one generation. This is the success of one club, of one idea that in Montenegro one can work seriously, long-term and at a high level. Italy is a challenge that we welcome with readiness – we are not going to participate, but to continue writing history," said the club's coach Edis Jasavić.
The 2013 generation is becoming a symbol of continuity and growth – off the field and within each training session. It is the culmination of years of dedicated work, professional support, and a shared belief in the power of development from the youngest categories.
This result is also a call to partners, institutions and the sports public to recognize and support children who already carry the name of Montenegro beyond borders. Because this is much more than a game – this is a project for the future.
