Friends of the former football player and fans of Partizan from Nikšić organized themselves to show in yet another way that they will never forget Andrija Delibasic.
A mural with his image from the previous Saturday is on the wall of a building in his hometown.
Andrija has long since carved himself into the hearts of all those who knew him personally, as well as those he knew how to cheer on from the grass field, but even those who did not support the club or national team whose jersey he wore.
With his modesty, despite his great playing and human qualities, he won the sympathy of many, from Nikšić, through Belgrade, and all the way to the Iberian Peninsula. Precisely for this reason, one of the first murals now adorns Nikšić, which will support the pillar of his memory.
In his teenage days, he wore a black and white jersey.
There he got used to an independent life, far from his loved ones, he hardened himself as a player and as a man, and there he passed his first and most difficult life and football exams.
That first and most important life and football school resulted in a "perfect ten" on the graduation exam in the Champions League in 2003, when Andrija won the hearts of the "gravediggers" forever.
All fans of the Belgrade giants, as well as true football fans, know well what happened then.
He passed his graduation exam in front of the Montenegrin fans when it was the hardest. And everyone whose hearts beat for the "brave falcons" knows perfectly well when that was, because then the net and the England goalposts shook under Gorica, and the atmosphere in the stands of the City Stadium in Podgorica "exploded" with probably the greatest joy so far.
All of this was enough to buy himself a ticket to eternity, and he did much more for football, but also for his friends.
Therefore, now all those who pass by the Street of the People's Youth can stop and see for themselves the love. The great love for Andrija from the fans, but also from the city and its fellow citizens who will never forget him.
