La Masia, for the second time in history tonight against Villarreal from 21pm, Barcelona could field all 11 starters who came from the legendary youth school.
This possibility was announced by Hansi Flick, the Barça coach who won three trophies in his first season - La Liga, Spanish Super Cup and Copa del Rey.
"We have discussed a potential lineup with all 11 players from La Masia. There is a chance we can do it, but I haven't made a decision yet," said the German strategist.
If that happens, Barcelona would make history again, because for the second time in an official match, all eleven players would be students of their own academy.
The first time this happened was in 2012 in a match against Valencia, and the lineup was as follows: Victor Valdes - Martin Montoya, Gerard Pique, Carles Puyol, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Xavi, Cesc Fabregas, Andres Iniesta, Pedro Rodriguez and Lionel Messi.
