The European Football Association (UEFA) announced that the 69th Ballon d'Or ceremony, which is awarded to the best male and female football player, will be held on September 22 in Paris, at the Théâtre du Chatelet.
Awards will be presented then in both the men's and women's competitions for the best goalkeeper, scorer, coach, club and young player.
There will also be an award for the best "action of solidarity or social benefit", which can be won by both male and female football players.
UEFA said the names of the finalists for the awards would be announced in early August.
The Ballon d'Or has been awarded since 1956. The award in the men's competition has been won the most times by Lionel Messi (eight), while last year's winner was Manchester City midfielder Rodri.
