Famous images from Azerbaijan - a championship celebration, starring Qarabag football players, for the 11th time in the last 12 years.
Two Montenegrins, two Markos - Vešović and Janković, have slowly gotten used to the dominance in this country, and they were once again key in the club from Agdam "embracing" the cup.
Qarabag won the new title much earlier, but celebrated it over the weekend during their last home game.
"This was a successful season. We won the title, we made our fans happy. Thank you to everyone who believed in us," Vešović told the "Azertac" agency.
The Montenegrin defender's contract with the club he has been playing for since 2021 and with which he was champion four times expires in the summer.
"I can't say for sure whether I will stay in Qarabag or not. The question remains open. Of course, if I stay - my biggest dream is for us to play in the group stage of the Champions League. It's not easy to achieve that, but we will fight until the end," Vešović emphasized.
The season is not over for Qarabag yet - the Azerbaijani champions will try to win the double crown, as they face the Cup final against Sabah on the last day of May.
"All our attention is focused on that match," Vešović is clear.
Qarabag had a notable role outside of Azerbaijan last season, reaching the round of 16 of the Europa League and matches with the then unstoppable Bayer Leverkusen. This year, not everything went as planned in Agdam, so new European challenges are also a desire for Marko Janković.
"We will try to do better in European competitions next season. We were not successful in the Europa League this time, but we cannot win every game. It could have been better, it could have been worse. In any case, we have gained experience and I hope that will help us next season," Janković told Offsideplus.
The "Falcon" midfielder said about his performance this season.
"It was a good season for me, I'm happy to be part of this team. The most important thing is that Qarabag achieves its goals, and I only have the role of a football player and there are things I have to do to improve my team. Overall, I'm really happy," Janković said clearly.
After the Cup final, the hosts are expecting another important match this season - with the Montenegrin national team on June 6th against the Czech Republic in Plzen, it will be a duel in the 3rd round of World Cup qualifications.
