Manchester City players defeated Bournemouth (3:1) at home tonight in the 37th round of the Premier League and came one step away from qualifying for the Champions League.
Ahead of the final 90 minutes, City are in third place with 68 points, two points ahead of Newcastle, Chelsea and Aston Villa, who are in sixth place.
City took the lead in the 14th minute tonight, when Omar Marmuš scored a fantastic goal from about 30 meters, and Bernardo Silva doubled the lead before the break.
City were left with a player less midway through the second half, as Kovačić was sent off, but the visitors were quickly left with ten men after Kuk was sent off.
Then Nico Gonzalez made it 3:0, and Jebison made the final score.
Kevin de Bruyne said goodbye to the home fans tonight, as he leaves at the end of the season. He arrived at City in 2015, won everything there is to win and became a club legend.
De Bruyne had a chance to say goodbye to the home fans with a goal, but in the 25th minute he hit the crossbar from about five meters.
The match at the Etihad will also be remembered for the return of Spanish international Rodri. The Spaniard returned to the field eight months after a serious knee injury.
City will be visiting Fulham in the final round.
