The "Ranko Despotović - Dele" memorial, in honor of the tragically deceased former first team player of the Rudar football club, will be held on Sunday, May 25th, at the indoor football fields of the Sports Center in Pljevlja.
In addition to being a favorite of the fans of the club under Golubinja, Despotović was a respected and beloved fellow citizen in Pljevlja for his sports and recreational activities, his indispensable participation in tournaments, and his selfless help in training young football players.
Dele transferred his passion and work habits from professional fields to his profession - a surveyor, and he was killed at work on July 10th last year, when a large amount of earth fell on him at the construction site of the investor "Mili Company" in Pljevlja.
Pljevlja, but also friends, acquaintances and admirers from all over Montenegro and neighboring countries, worthily saw off their respected and beloved fellow citizen Ranko Despotović to eternal rest, and the Center for Sports and Recreation - Pljevlja launched a memorial tournament in his honor.
With the help of his family, sponsors, and the Municipality of Pljevlja, the tournament will be played according to the rules of futsal, which Dele played recreationally in numerous tournaments after his football career.
