Bayer Leverkusen Football Club has appointed Erik ten Hag as its new coach today.
The Bundesliga club announced that the 55-year-old coach has signed a contract until 2027.
The Dutchman succeeded Xabi Alonso on the bench, who took over at Real Madrid.
Ten Hag has been out of work since being sacked by Manchester United last October.
In two full seasons with the club, he won the FA Cup and the League Cup, but was sacked due to poor results in the championship and the worst start to the season with four defeats in nine games in the Premier League.
Ten Hag has experience working in German football, having worked in the second team of Bayern Munich from 2013 to 2015.
