Dečić succeeded on the third try - a year after the title, the Cup trophy arrived

They lost the final twice in the previous four years, they didn't miss a third chance - the football players of Dečić Admiralbet are the winners of the Montenegrin Cup in the 2024/25 season.

In the final performance of the most massive competition, premiered at the City Stadium in Nikšić, Nenad Brnović's team was better, more agile, more experienced in the finals by just one goal - 1:0 against Mornar, who will have to wait for another opportunity for their first trophy.

The decisive goal was scored by Asmir Kajević in the 23rd minute - a routine achievement by the former occasional Montenegrin national team player, who elegantly beat Baran goalkeeper Miloš Dragojević in a one-on-one situation.

Dečić is heading into the Conference League qualifiers, after last year's "long run" in Europe, and could be a seed in the first round draw.

The "most beautiful match" on the Montenegrin club scene was not particularly beautiful to watch.

Dečić was more competitive in the first half. In addition to the goal, which was the result of a poor reaction from the Baran defense, Nenad Brnović's team also had a crossbar from Brazilian Čagas. Mornar came closest to equalizing in the first half's stoppage time when an effective shot by right-back Nikola Vuković flew past the post.
