Liverpool have entered final negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen over the signing of Florian Wirz.
The Premier League champions have sent a second, better offer for the German midfielder.
The latest offer is around 130 million euros including bonuses.
Wirz is one of the Merseyside club's main targets, and the German has made it clear that he wants to join the Reds before the start of next season.
BBC Sport revealed earlier this month that Manchester City are no longer in the running to sign the player, citing transfer costs as a key reason.
Bayern also withdrew from the race, because at this moment, Virc's key desire is to come to Anfield.
Wirz made his debut for Bayer at the age of 17 and has so far scored 57 goals in 197 games.
He won the double with Bayern last season.
