Montenegro and the Czech Republic - face to face after winning six points each at the start of the World Cup qualifiers, but also with the fact that on Friday evening (20.45:XNUMX p.m.) in Plzen, both will face their first real test on the road to the American continent.
Our national football team has had another training session at the Old Airport, and tomorrow morning they will arrive in Plzeň via Prague. The big battle at the "Dusan Arena" will be fought in the middle of the field, and that's where everything should start with Marko Janković.
"It is much more important that we play as a team, that is the only way we have a chance of a significant result. It is less important who plays - whoever is on the field is aware of what this game brings us and will certainly give their maximum," emphasized the "Falcon" midfielder.
A point would be significant.
Montenegro has played five matches with the Czech Republic so far, losing every one, and now maybe even a draw wouldn't be a bad result on the away field.
"A point would be of great importance, we are playing against a very serious team away from home, and the Czechs will certainly want to show from the start that they want to win," Janković has no dilemma.
Somehow, things are getting more positive after six points from the first two matches against Gibraltar and the Faroe Islands.
"It won't be easy at all, but we are in a good situation, we ended the March matches positively and we will try to continue in that direction even though we have duels with very strong teams ahead of us," emphasized the Qarabag player.
They change systems, the most dangerous from the flank and from the break
The season is over, and many of the Czech national team players have yet to resolve their club status for next season - could that affect them in the duel with Montenegro?
"These are very high-quality players, they may have a dose of pressure, but that doesn't bother them at all. We can't look for an advantage there, we can only gain it through good play, fight and tactics. We all change clubs at some point, it's a little unpleasant when you're waiting, but it's much easier for them than for us," says Cetinjanin.
The Czech Republic has been practically being analyzed since the March duels - what kind of system do you expect them to use in Plzeň?
"We watched their previous matches, but we don't think too much about what formation they will take to the field. The focus is on how we should play, but definitely that they can play in multiple formations and there's no point in preparing specifically for one type of game. They can change the system at any moment and we have to react at that moment," Janković explained.
Much more important will be Montenegro's response.
"Yes, the most important thing is that we prepare well, that we implement what we have been working on. In any case, it will be an interesting match."
Where are they most dangerous - is it Patrik Schick, the Bundesliga goalscorer, or in the middle with Tomas Soucek, the West Ham midfielder?
"First of all, they are a very solid and concrete team. In my opinion, they are most dangerous when the ball comes from the flank and from set pieces. They have height, they are robust, they have a certain quality in every segment of the game," explained the Montenegrin footballer.
Let the positive atmosphere reflect on the game
What is noticeable at Montenegro's training sessions is the great atmosphere in the national team.
"Yes, we talked among ourselves that it's a very positive energy, I hope that will be reflected in the game," concluded Janković.
