The World Cup qualifiers continue, with matches in Groups G, H and K scheduled for tonight.
One of the most interesting matches on tonight's schedule, a high-stakes match, will be played in Tirana, where Albania will host Serbia (20.45:XNUMX PM).
Serbia is playing its first match in the World Cup qualifiers, as it had obligations in the Nations League in March, while Albania initially lost to England at Wembley (2:0), and then defeated Andorra (3:0).
These rivals played two matches in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, and the match in Belgrade is remembered for the drone and the interruption. Then Serbia was awarded the victory at the "green table", and three points were deducted. In the second duel, played in Elbasan, Serbia celebrated 2:0.
"An extremely important match for both them and us, but it's just a match. They are our football friends, we are organizing the European Youth Championship together. We look at the match exclusively from a sporting perspective, to compete on the field and to see who is better. I am convinced and believe that we will have excellent hospitality. Nothing unforeseen can happen here that will shock us. Listening to the media and people who make statements lightly, you can hear and see all sorts of things. I know from experience that we will have a good reception, the same as they will have when they come to Serbia for the second leg. I am convinced of that," said Serbia coach Dragan Stojković Piksi.
Serbia, says Stojković, is focused on the match.
"We never calculate, at least I don't. We will win as many points as we deserve, and we came to Tirana to win, not to draw, and we will do everything to achieve victory," said Stojković.
Albania coach Silvino says he is familiar with the situation and the difficulty of this match.
"We have a very important match against a physically strong opponent. We need all the players. The first message is, everyone has to be ready. We are focusing on Serbia. I know the history of our matches, but we have to stay focused on the game. We have to be a team that plays with heart and soul, so as not to lose our identity. This is not an ordinary match, but we have our chances. We know that the match is special. But, on the field, it is a sport, 90 minutes of play. We will work on emotions and focus. I need all 27 players who are ready to run, to give their heart and soul," said Silvinho.
