Montenegrin football players could not match the Czech Republic - the first defeat in the World Cup qualifiers was inevitable.
They lost 2:0 in Plzen, it could have been more convincing...
"A tough game and a pretty strong tempo. The Czechs opened the match properly, we had that goal by Vukotić where it was a little offside. We tried later with substitutions, but the opponent defended easily," Stefan Savić told RTCG.
The Czech Republic was better, two goals made the difference.
"We can play with the Czechs, but they take advantage of the chances they create. They don't suit us, this is another defeat in matches with them, but we are moving forward, there are still plenty of points in circulation and we will not give up."
Montenegro has lost all six of their matches against the Czech Republic.
"That information seems unreal, but it is what it is. We have to admit that they were better in important details," concluded Savić, who returned to the national team after 14 months.
