Florian Wirtz's transfer from Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool is the third largest in football history.
The Reds have agreed to sign the German for 136 million euros, and the deal could be even more expensive if Wirz fulfills all the bonuses from his contract with the giant from the city of the Beatles.
Wirtz will sign a five-year contract with Liverpool, and a medical is scheduled for next week.
The transfer will make Wirz, who is 22, the most expensive signing in Liverpool's history, the most expensive German footballer ever and the biggest sale by a Bundesliga club.
Liverpool already have the second most expensive goalkeeper in the world in Alisson and the second most expensive defender in Virgil van Dijk.
The English record is still held by the €121 million that Chelsea paid for Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez in 2023.
Six months later he signed Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo for €116 million.
The most expensive transfer in the history of the most important side in the world was Neymar's arrival at Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona for 222 million euros, while the "Saints" also made the second biggest deal ever when they paid Monaco 180 million euros for Kylian Mbappe.
