The way in which the Football Club Budućnost, with the help of the Municipality of Podgorica, organized the event also disappointed Momir Mića Bakrač, another legend of the "blues".
Bakrač was present on Thursday evening at the main square and as he points out - it would have been better if he hadn't.
"If I had known how it would be, I wouldn't have come," said Bakrač and added:
"It's an understatement to say that I'm disappointed, because many of us left our mark on that club, and it's not that we weren't mentioned, but we weren't welcomed in the right way. We weren't respected, none of us," says Bakrač, a former member of the SFR Yugoslavia national team.
Bakrač played over 1976 matches in the blue and white jersey between 1984 and 200.
"I came to the ceremony in the company of Dragan Guzo Vujović and immediately upon entering they showed us the way to the last row, where the other aces were. Also with us was a famous Buducnost fan, Đoka Vučković, who has been following this club for over 50 years, much longer than some who were in the front rows. But, apparently, that's politics, many saw this anniversary as an opportunity to advertise themselves - and that's not the point of celebrating the birthday of a club like Buducnost. They shouldn't call me like this anymore," concluded Bakrač, who also played for Sutjeska, Hajduk Split and Brescia.
