Predrag Mijatović has agreed to transfer another talented football player from Buducnost, so after Milan Vukotić, Andrej Kostić could also be in the "black and white" jersey, "mozzartsport" has learned.
Assisting the first goal in the history of the Montenegrin national team in European competitions, Kostić is currently in Romania at the European Youth Championship.
"The young striker is high on coach Srđan Blagojević's wish list and the deal could be completed in the coming days. In principle, everything has been agreed with the 18-year-old centre-forward, however, as the stadium under Gorica is in turmoil at almost all levels, the right moment is being sought to talk to the leaders of the blue and whites about the terms of cooperation," writes "Mozzart sport" and further states:
"Kostić is a football player profile that fits perfectly with the Partizan management's hints that they will give a chance to young players and relies on the words of Predrag Mijatović that there are plenty of talents in the region, they just need to be found. The vice president of the black and whites in charge of sports issues located one such player at the stadium where he used to play himself, before he arrived in Belgrade in 1988 and became an important player for Partizan. Mijatović was 19 years old at the time, Kostić is only a year younger, but it could be that the former Real Madrid ace sees himself from his younger days in the Montenegro youth national team player and that this was one of the recommendations to the coaching staff."
Kostić scored four goals and provided three assists in the Montenegrin championship last season, mostly coming off the bench. He needed only 500 minutes on the pitch to be involved in seven goals.
"Last fall, Kostić was part of the Buducnost team that participated in the UEFA Youth League, and in a two-legged tie with Dinamo Tbilisi, he scored four goals, including a hat-trick in the second leg, when thanks to him, the Georgian representative was eliminated. As a member of the Montenegrin youth team, Andrej Kostić was part of the team that defeated the Serbian national team in a friendly match in Stara Pazova last September. At that time, his rivals included midfielder Dimitrij Janković, defender Nikola Simić and goalkeeper Vukašin Jovanović, who are likely to be his future colleagues in Zemunel," writes "Mozzart Sport".
