Two years in the Fenerbahçe jersey and then a return to Serie A - 39-year-old Edin Džeko is set to play again in the Italian football elite next season.
He will not be joining Como or Bologna, teams that have wanted him in recent weeks, but has already agreed everything with Fiorentina, according to media from the Apennines.
The legendary Bosnia and Herzegovina striker is set to sign a one-year contract with the Viola, with an option to extend the deal for another 12 months. He is expected to earn an annual salary of 1,8 million euros.
Džeko played for Roma and Inter in Italy, and in two seasons for Fenerbahçe he scored 99 goals and provided 46 assists in 18 games in all competitions.
