At the stadium "under Gorica" in June 2014, the Hungarian company "Sport Pažit" began work on the reconstruction of the field of the largest Montenegrin stadium - 11 years later, rolls of turf arrived from the same country, which should finally solve the problems with the foundation of this building.
The city company "Sportski objekti", the Football Association of Montenegro and Buducnost have this time opted for the Hungarian "Garden Group", and after the first turf has been laid, it is expected that the field will be ready for Buducnost's European matches this summer.
"The turf arrived from Hungary and installation began immediately. This is also the final phase of changing the grass surface at the City Stadium," said Sports Facilities, who announced a few days ago that everything would be ready for the European premiere:
"European matches on the 100th birthday of Buducnost in a completely new look".
The pitch in the capital was damaged last summer, after which UEFA banned European matches on it, so Buducnost moved to the "DG Arena", and the Montenegrin national team played the Nations League and World Cup qualifiers in Nikšić.
Reconstruction work began in the second half of April, and it was announced at the time that everything would be finished by the beginning of June, but everything still dragged on.
For now, the most important thing is to have the field ready by the first round of Champions League qualifying, which starts on July 8th.
