The new president of the Sutjeska football club will be Miomir Ljaka Bakrač.
Bakrač was a candidate for a member of the new Board of Directors (BOD), but apparently there has been a change, so the former Sutjeska footballer will be the club's first man.
Bakrač played for Sutjeska, OFK Belgrade and Leotar in his football career.
Miomir Bakrač will succeed Boris Rašković as president, who resigned yesterday. Rašković joined the club at the end of December last year, when he succeeded Marko Mitrović, and in yesterday's statement, among other things, he emphasized that he was leaving in order to remain consistent with the values for which he joined the club.
The club's Assembly session, which was scheduled for the previous Monday, was postponed because Sutjeska fans gathered in front of the stadium, who were against Rašković's dismissal. In the end, Rašković resigned and said that he was saying goodbye with faith in better days.
After the local elections, held in April in the town near Trebjes, during the distribution of functions, it was decided that the coalition For the Future of Nikšić, led by the current Mayor of the Municipality Marko Kovačević, would govern Sutjeska.
Kovačević addressed the players in the locker room at the start of preparations a few days ago. The media, at least officially, were not informed about the start of preparations.
Sutjeska got a rival yesterday in the first round of qualifications for the Conference League. The team from Nikšić will play against the Belarusian Dinamo Brest.
