Manchester City started the Club World Cup with a victory, after beating Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca 2-0 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
The match was decided by Phil Foden, who was declared player of the match within an hour on the pitch.
He scored first in the 2nd minute of the game, and 40 minutes later assisted Doku for the final score.
Foden was replaced by Rodri in the 60th minute.
The team from Casablanca had chances, especially in the period between City's two goals, but the attackers did not do their best.
In the 88th minute, the "citizens" were left without a player, as Rico Luis received a direct red card.
However, the player did not feel inferior to the end in Pep Guardiola's team, even in the last minute Erling Haaland was alone in front of the goalkeeper, who managed to stop the shot of the whirlwind Norwegian.
In the second match in Group G, Juventus and Al Ain from the United Arab Emirates will play.
It will also be a duel between coaches from the former Yugoslavia, Igor Tudor and Vladimir Ivić.
