After a convincing defeat to Vardar (3:0) in the preparations in Slovenia, the real reaction came - Buducnost played 2:2 against Rapid Bucharest and thus slowly began to improve their form ahead of the Champions League qualifiers.
The match against the fifth-placed team in the Romanian championship in Moravske Toplice was marked by Ivan Bulatović - the "blue and white" striker scored both goals for the Montenegrin champions.
Ivan Brnović's team took the lead in the 34th minute when Bulatović scored after a great assist from Nedeljko Piščević. Rapid came back at the end of the first half through Filip Blažek, but Bulatović made sure his team went into the break with the lead - after a pass from Marko Milicković in the 45th minute, he rounded the goalkeeper and increased the lead to 2:1.
Brnović made a lot of substitutions in the rest of the game, and his colleague on the other side, Konstantin Galka, started the second half with a completely new 11 players, so Rapid managed to reach a draw - Drilon Hazrolaj scored.
"In general, we can be satisfied, because in the first half we had control of the match, created chances, scored three goals (one disallowed for offside) and led 2:1 at half-time. The second half also brought the game to a strong rhythm, we conceded a goal for 2:2, but basically it was a good test for us," said Ivan Delić, assistant in Brnović's coaching staff.
Buducnost played in this match without Ilija Serikov (fatigue) and Ivan Bojovic (minor injury), and the game started with Mijatovic - Grivic, Djurickovic, Orahovac, Gasecovic - Mirkovic, Piscevic, Milickovic - Ivanovic, Vusurovic and Bulatovic. In the rest of the game, Domazetovic, Dakic, Adzic, Popovic, Vukovic, Strumija, Resetar, Rakcevic, Sarkic, Mijovic, Grbic and Vujovic also played.
The Montenegrin champion will play two more matches in Slovenia before the end of preparations - against Mura (June 25th) and Slaven Belupo (June 29th). They open their Champions League qualifiers against Noa on July 8th or 9th.
