The legendary Montenegrin football player has signed a contract with the new great hope of Montenegrin football.
Andrej Kostić, an 18-year-old, recent, great talent of Buducnost, signed for Partizan after a detailed scan by Peđa Mijatović, vice president of the Belgrade club.
The amount of compensation, as Vijesti has learned, is 900 thousand euros, and Budućnost will also receive 15 percent of the next transfer.
Kostić signed a contract with Partizan until 2030.
"In its most glorious days, Partizan relied on players from its own academy and the best young footballers from the surrounding area. Andrej Kostić fits perfectly into that concept - high-quality, hard-working, with a great attitude, work ethic and a strong competitive character," Mijatović said about his young Podgorica player for Partizan's website.
A delegation from Budućnost, led by the president of the board of directors, Boško Kovačević, was in Belgrade today and, at a meeting with Mijatović, agreed on another transfer, practically worth millions.
For the Podgorica club, which has stood out in recent years with significant sales of young football players (Viktor Đukanović, Vasilije Adžić, Andrija Bulatović...), this is another in a series of significant transfers and a new strong financial injection.
Kostić has occasionally been given a chance in the first team, scoring three goals last season. He was one of the mainstays of the youth team that stood out with a great performance in the Champions League qualifiers this fall, and was part of the U19 Montenegro national team at the recent European Championship.
Partizan is strengthening its squad from Montenegro, as former Buducnost captain Stefan Milić signed a contract yesterday.
Along with Milan Vukotić and Milan Roganović, the "black and whites" will have four Montenegrin football players next season.
"Our strategy is clear: we must return Partizan to its rightful place. That is why we want to be the first choice for the greatest talents from the region. In the past period, we have shown that we are not afraid of risks and that we provide opportunities to our children from the youth school, which has begun the process of restoring the club's identity," said Mijatović.
