Giroud has been in Los Angeles for a year now, but he is clearly still missing the best European football. For this reason, Giroud is on the verge of returning to his native France, where he will sign a contract with Lille.
If that happens, Giroud will return to his homeland after 13 years. He then played for Montpellier, from where he later moved to Arsenal.
Giroud's contract expires at the end of the calendar year, but it is very likely that LA will let him go to Lille, because even in California they are not too happy with Giroud's performance this and last season.
The French striker played for Grenoble, Istres, Tours, Montpellier, Arsenal, Chelsea and Milan during his career. He played 137 games for the French national team and scored 57 goals.
