The first Montenegrin captain, Mirko Vučinić, moved from Lecce to Roma and quickly became an idol of Rome and one of the best strikers in Serie A, and it seems that Nikola Krstović will follow his path.

The "Falcon" striker, after two excellent seasons in southern Italy, is ready for a new challenge, that has been clear from before, and the new destination will most likely be the Eternal City.

That such an epilogue is close is also evidenced by the writings of Italian media, specifically the Roman "La Repubblica", which claims that Roma has a verbal agreement with Krstović's agent.

However, the hardest part of the job is just now starting, as the leaders of the Roman club have to agree on a price for which Lecce will be willing to let the Montenegrin footballer head to the Italian capital.

And it seems that it will not be a small sum, Pantaleo Corvino announced everything, making it clear that the club will only consider serious offers for Krstović.

"I see that there are strikers who have scored fewer goals than Krstović, and they are valued at 35 to 40 million euros. Nikola scored 12 goals and registered five assists last year - according to the numbers, he is the eighth striker in Italy," Lecce's sporting director told "Gazzetta dello Sport".

Corvino, however, emphasizes that he will also consider the wishes of our football player.

"So, whoever wants Krstović must take all of what I have mentioned into account. Of course, we will do everything to please Nikola, so we will ask for something less than his real value, but whoever wants to buy him must also understand Lecce's needs," added Corvino.

Krstović was also a target for the new Premier League club Leeds, but he did not even consider moving to the strongest league in the world because he wanted to stay in Serie A and where he had become one of the best strikers in just two seasons.

Media from the Apennines recently wrote that Krstović's price is between 25 and 30 million and that only Leeds is willing to pay that figure, while it is high for teams from Italy.
