With the captain's armband in May 2014, he led Lovćen to triumph in the Cup final, the only trophy in the history of the oldest Montenegrin club to date.
Three years later, Vanja Tatar will command the defense of the "reds" in an attempt to return to the elite ranks.

Despite numerous offers, the 33-year-old from Cetinje is remained faithful to his home club, for which he will play for the sixth season in a row.
"The management of FK Lovćen is satisfied with the cooperation with the captain Vladan Tatar, and agreed today to extend the cooperation to the mutual satisfaction" - it was stated in the announcement on the club's website.
In addition to Lovcen, a stopper with excellent technical characteristics, he also played for Budućnost and Mogren, with whom he won the title in 2012.
Last season, in which the club from the capital was relegated from the First League, he played in 32 matches.
