FK Lovćen responds to players: The coach has his own rules that must be respected

After the statement of five Lovćen players, who are not satisfied with the treatment they receive from new coach Dejan Dapčević, a statement was also issued by the club.

The reaction signed by club president Goran Vušurović states:

"We were surprised by the announcement of our football players. I thought we could be friends even though we don't think the same way. We wish every Lovćen player progress in their careers and a move to our First League or abroad. This year, two of our players went to the First League, Kolić and Radusinović, for which we congratulate them from the bottom of our hearts. That is also our success! The others, unfortunately, did not have such offers, the market simply did not recognize them!

The aforementioned signatories were nevertheless recognized by the Management and their higher monetary claims were accepted. Matija Pejović's salary was increased from 800 euros to 1.200, Božidar Bujiša from 700 to 1.000, Vuk Vicković from 700 to 800, Risto and Filip Vujović, due to a lack of appearances, remained at 700," the statement said.

Adding:

"After the departure of coach Vladimir Savićević, the position of coach was offered to Ivan Tatar, who did not accept the role because he was expecting an offer from abroad. Then the role was offered to Peđa Vukotić, but we did not agree for mutually understandable reasons.

Dejan Dapčević, as the coach of our cadets, was the third on the list of candidates and he accepted the position. He agreed to a clause that if he was dismissed, he would not demand payment of the contract, as the former coach of Lovćen Ivan Jablan is currently demanding (over 7.700 euros). Coach Dapčević has a salary of 1.000 euros, which includes his travel expenses, so less than Pejović and Bujiša!

I thank him for his willingness to work in these circumstances and for understanding the difficult financial situation at the club. He has his own rules and working methods that players must respect, regardless of whether they are from Cetinje or from outside. He is responsible for his results and will know what to do if they are not there.

The players mentioned my name in the statement, and they could have mentioned my invested money, which they felt through their earnings. I would like to point out that the sports director, Professor Igor Kvesić, and I, along with the club's Board of Directors, are pure volunteers. We have been following the club for three and a half years and we have not drunk a single soda at its expense!

We all know that we found a destroyed and looted club that currently stands out for its punctuality in paying players thanks to Mayor Nikola Đurašković!

To make the irony complete, while the players are fighting to re-educate and replace coach Dapčević, our bank account has been blocked by former club secretary Vlatko Đurišić.

"I would ask you not to blame the mayor for me, I will gladly give up my position to anyone - to you, if you want to spend your money," Vušurović said in a statement.
