Hrabra Sutjeska continues the European summer: Vukčević and Čavor launch Nikšić into the 2nd round of LK qualifications

After a year of break, Sutjeska returned to Europe and achieved a very good, excellent result in the first round of qualifications for the Conference League.

The team from Nikšić defeated the Belarusian Dinamo Brest 1:2 tonight, on a neutral field in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary, in the second leg of the first qualifying round for the youngest UEFA club competition, making up for the deficit from the first match in which they were defeated 0:2 and scheduled matches with the Israeli Beitar from Jerusalem. The first duel is in Nikšić next Thursday.

An excellent game by the brave Sutjeska, the team from Nikšić outplayed their rivals tonight, were better and deservedly advanced to the second round. The path to the second round was paved with goals by Ivan Vukčević in the 74th minute and Vasilije Čavor in the 89th minute.

Based on everything shown in these 180 minutes, Sutjeska absolutely deserved to advance to the second round. Milija Savović's team achieved a valuable victory, a triumph that can be a wind at their back, not only before the continuation of European obligations, but also before the start of the domestic championship.

Sutjeska showed themselves in a great light tonight. From the first minute, the team from Nikšić knew what they wanted, but in the first half the team had no luck in the finals, as they missed several great opportunities.

In the sixth minute tonight, the excellent Vasilije Čavor crossed from the right, Vasko Kalezić headed the ball from seven or eight meters, and his shot was stopped by Kozakevich.

In the 14th minute, Balša Tošković shot wide of the goal after breaking through, and in the 19th, Marko Šimun tried from distance, who showed during these two matches that he would be a good reinforcement for the "blues" from Nikšić.

Sutjeska played fearlessly, in the 19th minute Kalezić and Tošković combined, but that opportunity was not realized either. Then in the 22nd minute Kalezić started a counterattack, but did not accurately pass the ball to Čavor, who was alone on the right side, and in the 28th minute Nikšić had a great chance - Tošković shot, a Dinamo player reacted clumsily, and Čavor himself shot over the goal from about ten meters.

There were already many missed opportunities, there was a fear that the host might punish these failures, but Sutjeska simply wanted to advance to the 2nd round tonight and did not give up until the end.

Dinamo also had chances in the first half, in the 33rd minute Vladan Giljen stopped Bikov, and then in the 35th minute Zenkov headed a shot wide of the goal.

At the beginning of the second half, Dinamo had possession, but without any real chances. Sutjeska decided to pull back at the start of the second half, and had their first chance after an hour of play, when Tošković shot over the goal.

And then in the 74th minute - a goal. Sutjeska received a corner kick, Šimun crossed, and after a duel between Aleksandar Šćekić and Pavlovec, the ball reached Ivan Vukčević, who passed it into the net from about ten meters.

Four minutes later, Dinamo had a chance to equalize, Pavlovec shot from about five meters, but Guillen stopped that too.

And then in the 89th minute, the "blues" scored their second goal and advanced to the second round - Ognjen Đinović sent a long ball, Vukčević and Čavor played a double pass, and the player who arrived from Bokelj this summer checked Kozakevič and launched the team from Nikšić into the next round.

A nice result for Sutjeska and a hopeful start to the season.
