Kovačević is no longer at the helm of Buducnost: I held two positions, I had to make a decision

The Budućnost football club is without a president - Boško Kovačević has resigned, just two and a half months after being elected to that position.

"I had to make a decision, because I work as a state secretary at the Ministry of Culture and Media, and I also served as the president of Buducnost. The position of president requires great dedication and it was not possible to be in two positions and perform both functions efficiently," Kovačević told "Vijesti".

Gorica has been in a "state of emergency" for several months now, and it is difficult to list all that has happened in such a short time in the current Montenegrin champion.

From the turmoil surrounding (not) obtaining a European license, the dismissal of executive director Novak Novaković, and the appointment of sports director Dejan Damjanović, through the chaos surrounding the club's 100th anniversary celebration, to the investigation by the Special State Prosecutor's Office due to suspicions of transfer fraud and a lack of financial resources at the club that earned millions from selling players...

In the midst of preparations for the new season, the coach - Ivan Brnović - was replaced, and now the president of the Board of Directors, Boško Kovačević, has also left.

"The situation at the club is being rapidly resolved and everything is going in the right direction," Kovačević pointed out.
