Barcelona announced that the return to the renovated Camp Nou stadium, originally planned for August, has been postponed because all the necessary conditions have not yet been met.
After two years of work and several postponements, Barça planned to return to their home on August 10th for the Gamper Trophy match, but nothing came of it.
The club stated that it is "working in cooperation with the city authorities and relevant organizations to fulfill all necessary conditions" and announced that it will inform fans about new steps in a timely manner.
According to Spanish media, the realistic date for the opening of the "Camp Nou" is a duel with Valencia in La Liga on September 13th or 14th.
The stadium's capacity will be temporarily limited to around 60.000 seats until the works are fully completed next summer.
The capacity should then reach 105 thousand seats, and the total value of the project is around one and a half billion.
