The team from Rijeka sensationally won the Croatian championship title ahead of Hajduk and Dinamo, and now they want to make up for it by performing on the European stage, and their rival is Bulgarian Ludogorets.
The first game is tomorrow at Rujevica (20.45:XNUMX).
"We are facing a serious and strong opponent. We have worked all season to win the title and get the opportunity to play against the best in Europe. We are aware of how difficult it will be, but we believe in ourselves, in the quality and the players," said the Montenegrin coach.
Ludogorets is the reigning champion of Bulgaria, a team that played in the group stage of the Europa League last season.
"It has 14 consecutive titles, it is constantly in Europe, it is full of quality foreigners, but with the help of the fans and with that energy from the stands we can play a good game," said Đalović.
Rijeka wants an advantage before the rematch in Razgrad.
"What do I wish for? A victory, any victory. Of course, we need to keep in mind that we only have the first 90 minutes ahead of us. A good result at home would be a big advantage, but it certainly won't solve anything," said Đalović.
Risto Radunović and FCSB are facing a duel with Škendija in North Macedonia, Nikola Janjić and Zrinjski are visiting Slovan Bratislava (Tuesday), while Marko Janković and Qarabag are going to Ireland to face Shelburne on Wednesday.
Red Star Belgrade also plays on Tuesday, taking on Lincoln in Gibraltar.
