Saliba: I would like to extend my contract with Arsenal

Arsenal footballer William Saliba has stated that he would like to extend his contract with the London team, which expires in 2027.

After Arsenal's victory over Newcastle in a pre-season friendly, Saliba stated that there were no concrete negotiations about continuing the cooperation, but that there was good communication between his agent and the club.

"Yes, I hope so. Of course, there are no concrete negotiations at the moment, but there is good communication between my agent and the club. We'll see," the Frenchman said.

Saliba began his career at Saint-Etienne, then moved to Arsenal in 2019, but spent the next three years on loan at Saint-Etienne, Nice and Marseille.

Last season, he played 51 games for the London team, scoring two goals.
