Lalatović after elimination in Europe: Defeat hurts a lot

Buducnost players ended their season in Europe tonight - the "blues" lost to Milsami 2:1 in the second leg of the 2nd round of the Conference League qualifiers in Orhei, Moldova, after a turnaround.

Buducnost had a great chance this summer, but they didn't take advantage of that chance, so the dream of making a breakthrough in Europe remained in Moldova.

And the "blues" took the lead tonight through Ivan Bojović, and then Milsami converted through Jardan and Ginsari. Before taking the lead, Buducnost had a great chance through Bulatović, Milicković missed a penalty...

"The defeat hurts a lot. We deserved to lead 2:0 in the first half. Bulatović had two more touches when he had an empty goal in front of him, then we missed the penalty on two occasions. When two such chances are not used, then you can't win. Still, we took the lead from a beautiful action, but then we conceded it from our possession. Then Bojović also had a great chance, if we had given it for 1:2, I think the game would have been over," said Budućnost coach Nenad Lalatović after the match.

Ginsari was alone when he scored, Lalatović reflected on that situation.

"Discipline must be present for the entire 90 minutes, we must protect the player. We warned that Ginsari is their best player and that he must not be left alone, he got between the two lines, shot and scored. We defeated ourselves and got eliminated. I feel very guilty and it is difficult. We did not know how to stand on the ball, when we took the lead it was as if a restlessness had entered us. After taking the lead we did not have control, but we rushed in the pass, we did not stand close to the players, as if we were afraid to advance to the third round," said the coach of Buducnost.

Buducnost is currently without a president, but Lalatović did not want to take over the management.

"We won't talk about the management. The head is hot, now it's important to concentrate on Jezero. We have to rise up even though all this is very painful," concluded the Buducnost coach.
