Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has joined Newcastle on loan until the end of the season.
This was confirmed by the Premier League player.
"Newcastle United have completed the signing of goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on loan until the end of the season," the statement read.
Insider Fabricio Romano reports that there is also an option for the Magpies to buy out the 27-year-old keeper next summer.
Ramsdale joined Southampton, who were relegated from the Premier League this year, from Arsenal, for whom he made 89 appearances.
"I've always loved visiting St James' Park and I've seen how passionate and vocal the fans can be," said Ramsdale.
At Newcastle, he will work with Eddie Howe, who was his coach at Bournemouth from 2017 to 2020.
