President of Buducnost, Boris Spalević, pointed out that the situation at the club is not the best, and that there are major financial uncertainties.
He pointed out that they have started to do a cross-section of the financial situation, which, as he says, is not good. The previous period, Spalević points out, was marked by numerous bad and harmful contracts.
Spalević was appointed president of Budućnost last Friday.
"The situation I found at the club is not the best. We have a lot of things that we need to restore to their original state, and that is to correct certain moves by the former management. There are also major doubts in finances, many things were not done properly. With new work procedures, a quality intention and a desire to improve the club, we need to achieve results," said Spalević.
He stressed that he is not afraid of challenges and that the public will soon be informed in detail about the real situation.
"We have started to do a cross-section of the club's financial operations, which at first glance does not look good. We have a deficit in business, we are not financially stable, although it is known that there were transfers worth millions last year. We are looking to see where that money actually ended up, that is, whether it was spent properly, and the public will be informed soon. We came to help, I worked in the private sector and ran serious companies, so my goal, as well as the administration of the Capital City, is to sort out the situation, make a cross-section and take further steps based on that," Spalević pointed out.
He points out that various contracts were made to the detriment of the club.
"There are no protective clauses, various annexes to the contract have been made to the detriment of the club. We will hire a professional team of lawyers who will review the contracts, so that we do not make the same mistakes in the future, and we will try to eliminate these things with these people. We have numerous illogicalities and that is why we want greater transparency," said Spalević, adding that he does not want to reveal the exact amount of the debt yet, but that the figure is large, and that he will publish the exact data in the next ten days.
