Betis footballer Isko has broken the fibula in his left leg, the Spanish club announced.
Isco suffered the injury in a friendly against Malaga, and Betis stated that the Spanish midfielder will "undergo conservative treatment in the coming weeks" and that "his return will depend on the progress of the injury."
However, Spanish media reported that Isco will be out of action for about three months.
"This is a new traumatic injury that is not related to a previous injury that has been resolved," Betis added in a statement.
Isko was named the best player in the Conference League last season - Betis played in the final where Chelsea was the better team, and he was also selected in the ideal team of the Spanish La Liga.
Before joining Betis, he played for Sevilla, Real Madrid, Malaga and Valencia, while he played a total of 39 games for the Spanish national team and scored 12 goals.
