Milutin Osmajić announced a new good season in Preston with a new feat in the 1st round of the Championship, while it seems that another Montenegrin will be an important part of the team from "Deepdale" from this season.
Andrija Vukčević signed for the Lancashire club at the end of July, and was a starter in the first two matches for his new club - in the championship against Queens Park Rangers (1:1), and then in the EFL Cup in the match against Barrow (1:0).
The difference is that during the away game in west London he played 60 minutes at left-back/winger, while against the League Two side Paul Hackinbottom deployed him as a left-back in a three-man defensive formation.
"I knew before this match that he could play here. I saw it at the beginning when we started working with him, during a closed match," explained Hackinbottom.
Vukčević arrived at Preston this summer from Cartagena, Spain, where he was playing on loan from Juarez, Mexico. He terminated his contract with the Central American team and then committed to the English team for three years.
The Montenegrin left-back grew up in the Carioca football school, and throughout his career he also wore the jerseys of Buducnost, Sevilla B, San Fernando, Spartak Subotica, Waasland-Beveren, and Rijeka.
Vukčević, Osmajić and Preston will welcome the 2016 English champions and last year's Premier League member - Leicester this weekend.
