Tomorrow (20) the players of Buducnost will play away to Arsenal from Tivat in the third round of the MeridianBet First Montenegrin Football League.
After being eliminated from Europe, Buducnost was defeated by Sutjeska (1:0) in the domestic championship in the previous round, and before that they defeated Jezero (2:1).
"We are facing a tough away game, especially after the defeat against Sutjeska, where we literally gave ourselves a goal. We are certainly not thinking in any other direction than to get three points. However, I also have to say that Arsenal is currently ahead of us in the table, with a point more. They are a well-organized team, they play in a 3-4-3 formation, they have their own qualities, especially in the transition on the half-counter and counterattack, where two good wingers and Vanja Vučićević in the striker, whom I greatly appreciate and respect, stand out," said Budućnost coach Nenad Lalatović.
Lalatović looked back at his team's previous releases.
"We have to minimize some mistakes so that we can win. Let me go back to how we conceded the first goal from Noa in the Champions League qualifiers here in Podgorica, where five of our players were around one of the opponents, who ended up scoring the goal. We also conceded a goal in the first match, against Milsami from our own possession. No one has outplayed us this season except Jezero in the first half because they were fresher and more rested, and it is also known that they are not our opponents," said Lalatović.
Lalatović commented on the previous two rounds.
"I'll be honest, we were lucky to win in Berane, but we also didn't deserve to lose against Sutjeska. God gave us that back for the triumph over Jezero. Now against Arsenal we have to get back on the winning track, and to succeed we have to be concentrated for the entire 90 minutes and give our all. If we manage to fulfill our defensive tasks, the attack will also start and I hope we will return to Podgorica with three points," Lalatović is convinced.
Lalatović emphasizes that he dreams of the title.
"We worked in a good atmosphere during the week. It's just the beginning of the season, everything is achievable, we will play four rounds and I am sure that it will not be known who will be the champion of Montenegro until next summer. We are not giving up on the title, we dream of it. I dream of winning my first title as a coach with my Buducnost."
Lalatović claims that he does not know what happened to Ognjen Gašević, who was on his way to CSKA in 1948.
"Before the match in Tivat, I'm worried that I can't count on Ivan Bulatović, Igor Ivanović, and I still don't know what's happening with Gas. Some say he's coming back, some say he's staying, some say he's leaving, some say he's here, some say he's not here. I don't know where he is," said Lalatović.
The aforementioned players were not on the field against Sutjeska either.
"I think it would be a real derby. I congratulate the Sutjeska team on their well-deserved victory here publicly because I couldn't be at the press conference after the game to congratulate them then," concluded Lalatović.
