From first place in Scotland, to the return to Novi Pazar, to the challenge in Poland in just nine months.
Slobodan Rubežić, a Montenegrin defender, is a new player for Korona from Kielce, a city that has become famous in this century primarily due to the success of its handball club, the 2016 European champions.
The youngster, who has played eight matches for the Montenegrin national team, arrives from Aberdeen, and as announced by Korona, he has signed a contract until 2028 with the possibility of an extension for an additional 12 months.
"I am very excited and happy to have signed for Corona. I can't wait to play in front of our fans," Rubežić told the club's website.
Rubežić shone in the Aberdeen jersey during the first part of last season, and the great Alex Ferguson's club was the sensational leader of the Scottish Premiership. However, everything fell apart later, and the relationship within the team apparently deteriorated, so the Montenegrin returned to Novi Pazar on loan.
He arrived at Aberdeen's training camp again this summer, and coach Jimi Telin was pleased with his performance, but could not guarantee him minutes on the pitch.
"Since returning to training, he has made it clear that it is important to him to play regularly this season. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that and this transfer allows him to be closer to home and focus on the next phase of his career. Slobodan has been a well-loved figure at the club, and we thank him for his hard work and professionalism during his time with us. We wish him every success," Telin said, as reported by the BBC.
Korona Kielce is not a giant of Polish football, but it has been a practically regular member of the First League since 2005, when it first played in it. Its greatest success in history came in 2007, when it played in the domestic Cup final.
