Chelsea players defeated West Ham away tonight 5-1 in the second round of the Premier League.
West Ham took the lead in the London derby with a goal from Lucas Paquette in the sixth minute.
Chelsea equalized through Joao Pedro in the 15th minute, and two minutes later West Ham had a chance to take the lead again, but Niklas Filkrug's goal was disallowed for offside.
Chelsea then secured a convincing victory with goals from Pedro Neto in the 23rd minute, Enzo Fernandes in the 34th minute, Moises Caixedo in the 54th minute and Trevo Chalobah in the 58th minute.
One of Chelsea's best players, Cole Palmer, did not play due to an injury sustained in the warm-up.
Chelsea have four points after two rounds. West Ham also suffered their second defeat, after losing to Sunderland in the opening game.
The other matches of the second round on Saturday are Manchester City - Tottenham, Bournemouth - Wolves, Brentford - Aston Villa, Burnley - Sunderland and Arsenal - Leeds. The duels Crystal Palace - Nottingham, Everton - Brighton and Fulham - Manchester United are scheduled for Sunday, while the derby of the round, the clash between Newcastle and Liverpool, is scheduled for Monday.
