The "Bombarder" from Pljevlja left his biggest mark on Partizan during his playing career, and he will succeed Slobodan Drašković at the club from Kotor.
Bokelj also confirmed the news on social media.
Čakar played for Rudar, Sutjeska and Mogren in Montenegro, and he faces a tough task in his new job in the ancient city after Bokelj had a poor start to the new season of the Meridianbet First Montenegrin Football League.
His new club is in second-to-last place in the table after four rounds with three points.
Čakar will make his debut on the bench of Bokelj this weekend in one of the toughest away games in Montenegro - against Sutjeska in Nikšić.
