Another odyssey of the once world's best coach has ended - Jose Mourinho is no longer the head coach of Fenerbahçe.
The legendary expert, who was spectacularly welcomed in Istanbul just over a year ago, leaves the "Şukru Saraçoğlu" stadium without a trophy, without any significant results.
The reason for the separation was the failure to qualify for the Champions League, where Fenerbahce stopped at the last step - in the play-off against Benfica.
"Our club and Mourinho, who has been the coach since the 2024/25 season, have mutually terminated their cooperation. We thank him for his contribution to our team so far and wish him much success in his future career," Fenerbahçe announced.
