His Euro goal in Plzen was overturned by VAR, now after a great summer with Partizan, he wants to continue his excellent form in a jersey with the Montenegrin coat of arms and "take revenge" on the Czechs for the defeat in the first match.
Milan Vukotić will be one of the "falcons'" great assets in the continuation of the World Cup qualifiers - on Friday against the Czech Republic in Gorica and three days later in the match against Croatia in Zagreb.
The rivals are the toughest possible in the group, but the Montenegrin midfielder radiates optimism and believes that his teammates and he can achieve great results.
- We are going to win with anyone we play with - Vukotić's clear message before another training session at the camp at the Old Airport.
The Czech Republic has flaws too, we saw them in Plzeň
The first rival is the Czech Republic, a team that celebrated in Plzen (2:0) at the beginning of June and which Montenegro has never defeated in its history.
- This is a very good team, with excellent individuals, but it also has its flaws, which was evident in Plzen. It is up to us to be 100 percent ready at all times, and we will play in front of our fans and that is a big advantage for us. We have to come out of this match as winners - emphasized Vukotić.
The former Buducnost player knows what a match with Tomas Soucek, Patrik Sik and his friends brings.
- This is the most important game for us, a win would give us the wind at our back to come out even better and more prepared against Croatia. We are only interested in three points against the Czech Republic - Vukotić is clear.
The field under Gorica is finally in good condition, so the "falcons" will return to our largest stadium after several games played in Nikšić.
- I hope the stands will be full, it would mean that we can try to achieve victory on the wings of the fans. After a long time, we will play in Podgorica, everything is up to us.
And the best demonstration of the weakness of the next rival was demonstrated by Croatia, which "smashed" Ivan Hašek's team (5:1) just three days after the Czechs defeated Montenegro.
- We haven't analyzed the match between Croatia and the Czech Republic together yet. There's not much to look at, the most important thing is that we give 100 percent. We don't feel pressured by the name of our rival, we have to go out hungry and eager to win.
Namesake has huge potential, everything is going well at Partizan
Along with Vukotić, Milan Roganović and Andrej Kostić also shone among the "Partizan babies". Both of them initially ended up on the youth team roster, but then due to new cancellations, coach Robert Prosinecki had to call up the former to the senior team.
"I'm happy for Roganović, he's a very young player who shows in every match that he has great quality and enormous potential. It's up to him to just keep working, and we'll accept him in the right way. I was also new to the national team until recently and I was very well received, now I'll do everything I can to help him adapt as soon as possible," Vukotić emphasized.
Vukotić scored four goals and assisted three for Partizan this summer, becoming one of the key players for the "black and whites".
"Everything is going well at Partizan for now, as long as our health serves us and we continue to work like this as a team. Victories motivate us to be better in every match and grow as a team day by day. Some individuals always stand out from that," concluded Vukotić.
